Politics In America

Nancy asks…

Are politics in America really just fronts to make money?

For example, politicians SOMETIMES fight for laws to be passed or regulations to be instilled because lobbying groups pay off the politician to support their cause. It could be argued that the politician doesn't even believe in the cause, just that it won't affect him very much and that money is being offered to him. If this happens enough throughout our government, doesn't politics in America just become a front to make money on? Your thoughts?
BQ: Aren't political ideologies basically useless then-because politicians are bought off anyway to pursue other interests, some of which are not in accordance with their principals?

Fishbowl answers:

No, politics in America are more about spending, or taking other people's money who earned it, and giving it to those who didn't, like those brainless occupy wall street punks

Joseph asks…

how has barak 0bama influenced politics in america?

Fishbowl answers:

That maggot has helped america in the long run

It has shown us that we need a REAL shift to the right in this country

and Im glad the Tea Party came out to fight the liberal nutters in 09

Steven asks…

when it comes to politics, America doesnt seem to have a sense of humour?

Yet you have had some of the biggest clowns in world politics
Regan, Bush snr, O.J, Clinton,Bush and Obama
We laugh at our Aussie politicians, and they arent as big a clowns as you guys have

Fishbowl answers:

We have certainly had our share of clown politicians alright.

Richard asks…

What is likely to be the enduring legacy of George W. Bush in America politics?

What is likely to be the enduring legacy of George W. Bush in America politics? How will American History view his presidency; great good fair or poor?

Fishbowl answers:

Bush Jr will be a mostly forgotten president. Sandwhiched between Clinton who'll mostly be remembered for his sexual daliences and Obama who is on pace to bring us to civil war. Much like Buchanon and Pierce who set the stage for the last civil war the weak or total lack of leadership displayed by Clinton and Bush jr combined with the self destructive economic policies and failures to quell nuclear proliferation are the legacies of Bush and Clinton. Since Bush Jr imediately proceeded Obama much of the blame will rest square on his shoulders.

The only positive Bush will be remembered for is his address on 9-11. It was well spoken and will long be a source of inspiration for the future. Everything else will be negatives. Even what would have been a positive in invading Iraq turned into a negative by the nation building we entered into. In the end Iraq will recover and hate the US just as much as before we took out Saddam. None of our sacrafice will be remembered by them. Had we left after Saddam was captured and elections held we probably would have had to come back but at least we'd been welcomed. We'd left as heroes and returned as heroes. Instead we picked up the tag of occupiers and have been so busy with Iraq we have failed to deal with Iran and North Korea.

If Obama doesn't hurry up and deal with Iran there might not be a history to remember any of us in. At least not human. Perhaps an alien species will take interest in the human race but we won't be around to notice. Iran's nuclear program threatens the very existence of our species. The failure of Bush to deal with it when a simple air raid would have ended the whole problem and Clinton's failure on the same account will ring resoundly through history if we survive the nuclear exchanges which will be the direct product of the failure to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power.

William asks…

Howcome there really isnt any bipartisan/unity movements in America politics?

How about we start a simple movement where conservatives stop calling liberals "America haters" and liberals stop calling conservatives "racist" which are both rarely true and we build from there.
Also, would it get the proper media exposure or is it still that bad news makes good news?

Fishbowl answers:

The tea party has been trying to do exactly that. The problem is that the liberals keep spewing hatred and lying about their activities in an effort to marginalize the movement.

  1. This may not be the most beneficial place to request this, but I am trying to find a pest management business inside the pittsburgh region and have no method to find out who’s the best. I discovered this business that is actually close to me and wished to see if any individual has any evaluations on them.
